Nostalgia..... In South America
After what can only be described as the most engaging week of our lives... where we were somehow beamed via satellite into cinemas across the USA and Canada... launched I-heart.org by screening “We’re all in this together” and recorded an album with our church... and serious lack of anything resembling sleep... we boarded a plane to leave our homeland for the last time this year.
The culmination of 4 years worth of energy, exertion and effort came to a pinnacle on the Wednesday night (our Thursday) as the I heart film was premiered across North America (everyone else stay tuned! www.theiheartfilm.com) This in itself was enough to have the adrenalin levels pumping and set us up for the rest of the week! Sunday night was a moment where we lost ourselves... we are fortunate enough to have been to many places... and are continually reminded, quoting Dorothy “there is no place like home”... We worshipped... We prayed... We sang... God was glorified. Before we had a chance to catch our breath we were in Argentina en route to Peru for the very first time. It was a nostalgic moment as we reflected on the past few years and particularly the week just gone... But time for contemplation was over and to quote the I heart film “this moment is all we have” and we jumped on another plane to meet the Peruvians whom we had been longing to worship with for some time now.
Whenever we leave home – God continues to do things we don’t expect... And this was no different... We arrived at the airport and there were people waiting... Eager... As we are also... To be a part of what God is doing all around the world... Joel grabbed a guitar and the Spanish was dusted off as a impromptu version of Tomalo was voiced.
The next day we headed to the venue – a converted carpark with scaffolding everything... we again were reminded that the things we take for granted are not the things God needs to move.... Running water, constant electricity and comfortable auditoriums. What we did encounter were 20,000 passionate and excited Peruvians who quickly reminded us that even if we didn’t want to worship God in Spanish – they did... and so would we. We are never really sure if those attending the worship night leave more impacted than us... If they did... Lima will not be the same.
Nostalgia... Contemplation... This moment... All we have... Thank You Peru... Onto Brazil...

Is very beautiful to see the love that the Hillsong United can have on people, for God, every day that I have been following the work of this team, I can see the power of God at work in each person, and expanding the faith in the hearts through the anointing transmitted in song, ministry, prayer, each step that the group makes, I feel that God is in control of everything, there is another reason to work so well as giving it! I live in Brazil, never had the opportunity to know them, but even then, I have no words to express how much they have blessed my life and how my heart is filled with joy, faith, hope, love and peace to listen to Hillsong United. There is a party prepared in Brazil for you because you won the hearts of this people, who today can say that is in love with you!God bless...

Thank you guys SO MUCH for coming to Peru and blessing us with such a great time of worship, cause that wasn´t a concert, it was church happening and the Lord coming down in the middle of a stadium. We are still beside ourselves when we think about last Tuesday night, it was simply AMAZING!!!! Please come back to Peru again soon guys!! We love you!

I was thinking... many people travel six hours in a bus from Curitiba to São Paulo to worship with you and are there tonight, the day you're doing this event! When I was about to buy the tickets to go with a group from my church they were all over! So I thought.. "Hey, united should come to Curitiba. I bet many people would come here from Santa Catarina, Parana and even other states..."
Wel... I don't really know how you decide this, but... I think you guys should thoughtfully consider comming here the next time! I would surely be there! If you need any contacts, i'd be pleased to help!

I went to the concert in Porto Alegre... it was the best concert of my life... I'll never forget.

Today is November 14, and up to eleven hours yesterday I was at the Hillsong concert in Porto Alegre, which was simply amazing! It was a show truly blessed. I believe that God really was there in Gigantinho yesterday, and broke hearts. I only have one thing to say: over here in Brazil we love you!! God bless you so much!!
